DES MOINES – The College and Young Democrats of Iowa (CYDI) released the following statement today:

“Anyone who’s spent a winter in Iowa knows all too well the dangers of traveling in poor weather. We understand the urgency of reaching voters before the Iowa Caucuses, but that should absolutely not come at the expense of staffers’ safety.

Staffers deserve respect, dignity, and the expectation of safety in their work. A first-place finish in the Iowa Caucuses is not worth endangering the lives and well-being of organizers and canvassers.”
